Our Political Strategy
Our Beliefs
We are a civil-liberties and privacy-focused organization. We believe government should protect public safety without treating every driver as a suspect. We support transparency, due process, local control, and evidence-based limits on surveillance.
Our Political Allies
Privacy and civil-liberties goals are often more likely to find support among Democratic officials and groups that prioritize criminal-justice reform, consumer privacy, and oversight. We will ask those allies to support warrant requirements, data minimization, public audits, limits on federal grants, and community consent. Members of the opposing party can also support our cause because the Fourth Amendment, limited government, transparency, and local control are shared values.
How We Create Change
We combine research, polling, coalition building, public testimony, press outreach, targeted lobbying, petitions, and direct conversations with elected officials. We will measure progress by public hearings, policy commitments, oversight rules, and adopted protections.
Coalition Building
We will work with residents, civil-liberties advocates, neighborhood groups, journalists, and elected leaders to make privacy protection a visible public priority.
